Morning Exchange: Patch Featured by St. Louis Magazine

Yours truly was interviewed for the article published on Wednesday.

St. Louis Magazine's online blog, SLM Daily, featured Maplewood-Brentwood Patch in an article published yesterday about local news. Steph Kukuljan looks into Patch's mission and even seeks input from Don Corrigan, editor of the Webster-Kirkwood Times. Steph Kukuljan writes:

Newspapers aren’t dead—yet. But in a flourishing digital culture and an increasingly wobbly economy, coverage hasn’t been that consistent, especially when it comes to school board decisions and fire-board elections. It’s a void in reporting that Patch hopes to fill with its online network of hyperlocal news sites that covers specific communities.

In the article, regional editor Kurt Greenbaum outlines why Patch is different from a neighborhood blog and president Warren Webster explains why cities like Maplewood and Brentwood are great locations for Patch sites. I even make a rather nerdy reference to Foursquare. Be sure to check it out.
