ST. LOUIS, MO -- Detectives are asking residents for help identifying a man who tried robbing a Pizza Hut last month on the city's southwest side.
They released surveillance photos this week that show the suspect armed with a handgun while standing at the front counter of the fast food restaurant, 4634 Hampton Ave., around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 14.
"The subject walked into the front of the restaurant and demanded money," said St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department representatives, in a Facebook post. "The subject pointed a small semi-automatic pistol with a silver slide and black frame at the employee. However, the suspect fled the scene without obtaining any money or property."
