Police Say Merchandise Worth $1,590 Stolen From Macy's at Galleria

It was among crimes reported by Richmond Heights Police between April 2-8.

Tuesday, April 2

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where a subject was detained by security on suspicion of stealing $1,590 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held for a state warrant application.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where a subject was detained by security on suspicion of stealing $22 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.

  • Victim believes that her cousin stole a sleeve of old checks that victim still possessed on a closed account and fraudulently used those checks to make purchases at Nordstrom.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained two juveniles on suspicion of stealing $116 in merchandise. The juveniles were arrested and later released, one to her mother and the other to the County Juvenile Detention Center.
  • Officers responded to the Homewood Suites where security pursued and detained a subject on suspicion of stealing $45 in merchandise from Dillard’s. The subject was arrested and held on a muni warrant application.

Friday, April 5

  • A subject known by mall security to have been banned was detained. Arriving officers found the subject to have several additional outstanding warrants. The subject was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.

Saturday, April 6

  • Officers responded to  H&M where security had detained two subjects on suspicion of stealing $85 in merchandise. Both subjects were arrested. One was later released on a summons and the other held pending a muni warrant application.

Monday, April 8

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a juvenile for stealing $83 in merchandise. The juvenile was arrested and later released to a parent.
