QuikTrip: There's Interest in Current Maplewood Location, Waits on Richmond Heights Store
QuikTrip now owns the property on S. Big Bend that may become a cut-through street to Martini Avenue.
The passage of Proposition Q finalized the use of several properties in Maplewood.
QuikTrip is going ahead with a move from 3010 S. Big Bend Boulevard to the northwest corner of Manchester Road and S. Big Bend Boulevard.
QuikTrip real estate manager Alan Renner told Patch there is interest in the current QuikTrip location, but they can't progress with it until farther along in the process.

"It will probably come on the market in four or five months from now," Renner said.
The Maplewood ordinance that made the move possible (5689) states that the tanks and pumps must be removed within 90 days of QuikTrip leaving 3010 S. Big Bend Boulevard. If a buyer isn't found within a year QuikTrip will demolish the building and seed the lot.

The current lease of the northwest corner of Manchester Road and S. Big Bend Boulevard is up at the end of June.
QuikTrip has bought the house at 2547 S. Big Bend Boulevard, per the ordinance, which also states QuikTrip will dedicate it to the city for a cut-through from Martini Avenue to Big Bend Boulevard. Saint Louis County and the Maplewood City Council would need to approve the cut-through.
Renner said both the Maplewood and Richmond Heights QuikTrip stores are going forward. Progress on , is waiting on a response from St. Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic.
