Schlafly Looking for 40 Acres For Expansion

Schlafly co-founder and CEO Dan Kopman answered questions online last month in a live chat with STLtoday.com readers. He talked about the brewery's plans for expansion, including finding 40-50 acres to build on and opening a brew-pub in Chicago. He said the two St. Louis breweries, downtown and in Maplewood, are running almost at capacity.

We are exploring the possibility of opening a small brewhouse, pub and store in Chicago. We are not close to making this a reality, but it is a way in which we believe we could introduce Schlafly Beer to Chicago. We will keep you posted.
