ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (July 2, 2021) In support of residents who lack adequate shelter or air conditioning, the St. Louis County Department of Human Services and The Salvation Army Family Haven will partner to operate a cooling shelter.

The shelter will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week from July 5 to September 3 at The Salvation Army-Family Haven, 10740 Page Avenue in unincorporated St. Louis County.
“This is a critical service during our hot summer days,” County Executive Dr. Sam Page said. “I appreciate the partnership with the Salvation Army to make this cooling shelter possible.”

Due to COVID-19 protocols, the shelter will accommodate up to 26 individuals. Hot meals, laundry facilities and case management services will be provided.
