WGU Missouri Surprises Essential Workers at Metro Transit

WGU Missouri donated 3,500 single-serving snacks to the Metro Transit team, including those who work at the Brentwood MetroBus Facility

WGU Missouri recently demonstrated its appreciation for the tireless efforts of Metro Transit’s team members helping to ensure other essential workers have had continued access to transit to get to their jobs and anywhere else they need to go. The donation consisted of more than 3,500 single-serving snacks - ranging from different varieties of trail mix to chocolate covered gummy bears. The large quantity ensured enough snacks to be included in care packages being provided to individual team members and in baskets distributed to each of Metro’s eight facilities, including the Brentwood MetroBus Facility in Brentwood, Mo. This donation honoring essential workers is one of a series made in recent weeks by the online, nonprofit university, which offers degree programs in several high-need areas, including the essential fields of healthcare and teaching.
