Man Robbed Lemay Gas Station at Gunpoint, Police Say
St. Louis County Police said John L. Crawford got about $675 in the robbery and was identified by a witness.

A St. Louis County man is accused of robbing a Lemay gas station at gunpoint July 1.
John L. Crawford, 26, of the 9500 block of Riddle Court in Overland, was charged Friday with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.
St. Louis County Police said Crawford went into the Phillips 66 station at 1210 Lemay Ferry Road at 11:22 p.m. July 1, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. Police said he got away with about $675.

Police said Crawford ran outside, got into a vehicle parked in front of the store and left. Police said a witness identified Crawford.
Crawford is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $75,000, cash only.
