Mehlville Man Sexually Assaulted 9-Year-Old Girl, Police Say

A Mehlville man is accused of sexual assault after police said he had deviate sexual intercourse with a young girl.

Anthony David Nelson, 42, of Mehlville, was charged Friday with charges including first-degree statutory sodomy, incest and first-degree child molestation.

St. Louis County Police said between Dec. 17, 2011 and April 8, 2013, Nelson had deviate sexual intercourse with the girl by touching her vagina over her underwear and by rubbing her with his exposed penis.

Police said he was related to the girl, who was between 9 and 10 years old during the assaults.

Nelson is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $100,000, cash only.
