Outstanding Educators Honored

The Lemay Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery Bank honored eleven teachers, one from each school in 63125, at its 13th Annual Outstanding Educator Recognition Dinner in April.  The event recognizes teachers for professional excellence in the classroom and their dedication to area youth.

“We rely on our schools and our Outstanding Educators to inspire and educate tomorrow’s business and community leaders in Lemay.  The teachers that we recognize each year are perfect examples of the above-and-beyond approach to education that will ensure our community’s future success,” said Dan Pogue, President of the Lemay Chamber of Commerce.

Those honored from the Hancock Place School District were Jackie Natsch of Hancock Elementary School, Michael Adreon of Hancock Middle School, and Ellen McCray of Hancock High School.  

From the Mehlville School District, honorees were Amber Dressel of Beasley Elementary School, Jennifer Walker of Bierbaum Elementary School, Jacqui Schilling of Forder Elementary School, Joan Wright of Margaret Buerkle Middle School, and Dan Lamping of Mehlville High School

From area parochial schools, honorees included Beth Meyer of Green Park Lutheran School, Mathew George of Notre Dame High School, Karen Roeseler of St. Mark Catholic School.

Honorees received commemorative plaques, resolutions and letters of congratulations from county and state dignitaries, and gift cards for school supplies.

“Montgomery Bank and the Lemay Chamber of Commerce recognize the important job teachers do to educate and motivate our future business leaders,” said Patty Iverson, Montgomery Bank Branch Manager (Union Road). 

“This award is our way of saying thank you to these teachers, who have a demanding and difficult task, but continue to meet each challenge and keep moving forward.”
