Police: Four Shoplifters Arrested, $1K Recovered at South County Center

Police are also investigating another shoplifting from a store nearby on the same day.

Police arrested four people and recovered more than $1,000 in stolen items from South County Center late last month.

The four suspects—two black men and two black women—were arrested outside Dillard’s on Oct. 30 on suspicion of shoplifting and attempting to flee the scene, although they disabled their car in a sewer, St. Louis County Police said. The car was a maroon Pontiac Vibe with Illinois license plates.

Police handled another very similar incident that day.
