Police: Four TV Thieves Arrested After Chase at Midwest RV

Officers tased one suspect while pursuing men stealing from recreational vehicles.

Police arrested four men after catching them stealing televisions from recreational vehicles at Midwest RV, said the St. Louis County Police.

Officers from St. Louis County Police South County Precinct were investigating a suspicious vehicle at the RV dealer at I-55 and Meramec Bottom Road in Oakville when they found an RV door open, according to the South County Precinct's weekly blotter.

Police found two suspects, who tried to flee on foot. Police caught up to the suspects, tased one and arrested both. A third suspect was arrested a few moments later.

Two additional suspects were arrested after police found them in the group's "getaway vehicle," police said.

  • Keith D. Britton, 28, of St. Louis City, was arrested on suspicion of stealing and destruction of property. He is also a parole absconder, police said.
  • Steven D. Hedrick, 32, of St. Louis City, was arrested on suspicion of stealing, destruction of property and resisting arrest by flight. He also has fugitive warrants, police said.
  • My K Phan, 21, of St. Louis City, was arrested on suspicion of stealing, destruction of property and resisting arrest. He is also a fugitive in St. Louis City, police said.
  • Derek S. Ewald, 18, of St. Louis City, was arrested on suspicion of stealing.

Five RVs were broken into and four TVs were stolen. All four televisions were recovered nearby by officers.
