St. Anthony's Offers Class for New Grandparents

St. Anthony's Medical Center offers a grandparents' class designed to meet the needs of new and expectant grandparents and to prepare them for their supportive role in the family.

The arrival of a new grandchild can bring back lots of memories for grandparents – but some of the memories of how to care for a newborn might be a bit fuzzy after years away from child rearing.

St. Anthony's Medical Center offers a grandparents’ class designed to meet the needs of new and expectant grandparents and to prepare them for their supportive role in the family.

The goal of the grandparents’ class is to improve communication between the generations.  Changes and current trends, including sleep positions, infant feeding and safety issues, are among the topics covered.  Participants also tour St. Anthony’s Family Birth Center.
