5 Things to Know About the Free and Reduced Lunch Program

The Fort Zumwalt School District has a revised policy for the free and reduced lunch program for the 2013-2014 school year. 

Here are five points that families might wish to know about the program. For more information, contact the district or your school's office.

• Applications are available at the school offices and may be submitted any time during the school year.
• All applications are confidential.
• Applications must include household income or Food Stamp/Temporary Assistance case number; the names of all household members; and the signature and last four digits of the social security number of the adult household member making the application.
• If a family member becomes unemployed or the family size changes, a new application should be filled out.
• If the applicant is dissatisfied with a determination of eligibility, the family can request a hearing.
