American Heritage Girls Decorate Veterans Museum

St Charles County Veterans Museum Ready for Fall

The American Heritage Girls Troop MO 3130 led by Michelle Purcell added a touch of fall decorations to the St Charles County Veterans Museum on Saturday. The girls adopted a garden, added a few scarecrows, pumpkins, bulbs and mums. When they finished decorating, they raked leaves.

The community has really contributed to create a beautiful museum says Jim Higgins, Museum Board Member. Higgins continued, previously the girls built inspirational prayer benches and painted stones decorating the grounds. When you look at the museum and grounds, you quickly realize it is a community treasure. We’ve had Cub Scouts, Eagle Scouts, Church Groups, Fort Zumwalt students, Lindenwood Students, and many other groups donate time.

Would you like for your group to volunteer at the museum? Call or email us. The museum is always looking for sponsors, donors, artifacts, memorabilia, veterans stories and volunteers. For more information call 636-294-2657 or email info@stcharlescountyveteransmuseum.com.
