FZN Senior Spotlight - Alexis Rogers

What activity did you miss this spring?

"Mixed Chamber Choir State Solo and Ensemble, Mixed Chamber Choir Senior Solo at Contest, Mixed Chamber Choir Chamber trip to Nashville, TN. I have been in Mixed Chamber Choir since Sophomore year, and I have worked so hard each year to progress and receive 1’s at solo and ensemble. This would’ve been my first year performing a solo at State, and my second year performing an ensemble at State. I have always looked forward to performing a solo at the Spring Concert."

What is your favorite memory with this activity?

"My favorite memory of Mixed Chamber is the chamber trips we go on every year. Sophomore year, we went to Chicago and last year we went to Branson. It’s always so much fun to travel with the people you love the most! I wish we could’ve gone to Nashville this year, but Mrs. Hoffman is doing everything she can to give us as much of our Senior year back as possible, potentially over the summer!"

What other activities have you been involved in during high school?

Varsity Prideline Dance Team (all 4 years)

National Honor Society (inducted Sophomore year)
Positive Peer Influence Mentor (Junior and Senior years)
Project Lead the Way Program (I earned my White Coat this past January)

Any additional information you would want to add?

"I am so glad that I’ve gotten to experience what I did. I love FZN with all my heart, and I am so blessed to have gotten to spend each year doing what I love!"

What do you plan on doing after graduation?

"I will be attending the University of Kansas to study Pre-Med. I am excited to join the university choir program, as well as becoming involved in Greek life."
