What activity did you miss this spring?
"I missed out on a trip to New Orleans with the jazz band, the State Solo and Ensemble festival, as well as participating in the pit orchestra for Little Women. I have been in the jazz band for four years, and I have gone to state solo and ensemble every year since sophomore year. This year would've been my first year getting every event I performed in (my solo, trombone quartet, and mixed brass quintet) to state. I have also been in the orchestra for the spring musical every year. Getting to see each musical come together and see how hard everyone on that stage worked to get that show in the best shape possible was truly incredible."

"My freshman year the jazz band went to New Orleans for the first time, and it was a very memorable trip. About half of the band is class of 2020 students, so we all would've gotten to end our time with the jazz band how we started it. At state solo and ensemble, getting golds and silvers with your events is a great feeling, but just getting a day to hang out with your friends, support other musicians, and be surrounded by such an amazing atmosphere is an incredible experience. The spring musical was always a busy time of year for me and everyone else involved, but I was never bothered because that end result was something that we were all incredibly proud of."

"FZN has set me up to be the person I am now. I have made friends for life at this school and I know the relationships and experiences I've created will carry me through life."
What do you plan on doing after graduation?
"I plan to attend SEMO and study music management, as well as be a part of their marching and jazz bands."
