Top Newcomers: Josh Bauer, Tyson White, Chandler Smith, Dylan Trice, Gabe Pagano

Team Goals/Expectations: 2020 has taught us to be able to adapt in any given situation so our goals are very short-term and simple: Get better every day we have an opportunity. We are coming off a 20-win season and a district championship so we want to continue and build upon the success that we had last season.

"We return a high-power line-up with KJ Lee, Drake Stevenson and Connor Turnbull. These three players all have the ability to score in multiple ways and they all defend well. The returning players all have experience and will be great at filling their role and helping the Panthers be successful. We are going to be one of the tallest teams around and they can all play inside-out which should present match-up problems for our opponents. Defensively we are very active with our length and that should help us turn defense into offense. Overall, we have a great group of young men who have been working together and working hard." Mike Uffmann

First Game: The Panthers finished 2nd at the Borgia Turkey Tournament. The team hosts Jackson on December 3rd - 6:30 pm.

Girls Basketball

Head Coach: Dusty Weiskopf (2nd year)

Top Returners: Kayley Judy, Kylie Orf, Jerrica Moody, Reagan Hamai

Top Newcomers: Rhianna Blanchard, Abby Porter, Gabby Starmann

Team Goals/Expectations: Our goals are to be as competitive as we can be on a nightly basis. We will try to get better one game at a time and hopefully be in a position to compete for a Conference and District Title.

Quote:

"We have a lot of young potential in the program (9-12) and each girl at each level is working hard and competing with each other every single day. One practice & one game at a time is our motto this year. Each day we are allowed to play gives us another opportunity to do what we love to do and strive to compete for that Conference Title, District Title, and a run into the playoffs!!" Dusty Weiskopf

First Game: December 2nd vs. Liberty - 6:30 pm.

Boys Wrestling

Head Coach: Josh Cooper (6th year)

Top Returners: Panther's will be led this year by returning Seniors Brendan Mahoney (SQ), Parker Monnig (SQ), Andy Long and Eddie Angelback. Each had strong performances last season and look to finish their careers on high notes as Panthers. Junior Jackson Cox will also return as a varsity wrestler who was a match away from qualifying for state last year. They will also be joined by returning qualifier and All State wrestler, Sophomore Chance Cole, who finished fifth in state at 170 lbs. last season.

Top Newcomers: Panthers have a few new additions to the varsity line up with sophomores Blake Jaco and Brandon Wigginton, and Freshman Matthew Burch.

Team Goals/Expectations: The Panthers brought home a district title last year and with our returning state qualifiers and all conference wrestlers, look to build on that success from last year.

First Match: December 5th - FZN Tournament - 9:00 am.

Girls Wrestling

Head Coaches: Josh Cooper and Matt Steinhoff

Top Returners: Courtney Hoff, Ali Burkemper, Alana Vogt, Carleigh Jones, Zoie Wise, Sydney Gatewood, Caylee Braun.

Top Newcomers: Claire Bowers

Team Goals/Expectations: Our goal is to focus on improving individual skills and technique and see steady improvement out of everyone on the team. Hopefully if we can stay focused on this process the team success will take care of itself.
Quote:

"The girls are working hard and seem enthusiastic about the sport in general and trying to improve. We have a lot of new wrestlers so mistakes will happen, and mistakes can be fixed. What I'm most encouraged by is our effort level and attitude, because if that's not there, that makes this sport a lot more difficult." Matt Steinhoff

First Match: December 4th - FZN Tournament - 5:00 pm.

Girls Swimming

Head Coach: Alice Maloney (2nd year)

Top Returners: Sydney Kelsey, Averi Meade, Samantha Smallwood, & Madeline Watters

Top Newcomers: Lyla Campbell, Callie James, & Clarisse Woods

Team Goals/Expectations: As a team we have a couple of goals. We want to make a respectable showing at GACs and want to make a return to State competition with relays, individual events including dive.

Quote:
“As a team we want to go into every meet and every race trying to beat the last time we were in the water. We lost some key components to our team with seniors graduating and girls moving but, we will not let that keep us from doing our absolute best. We have some great new girls, some with experience and some without any experience but, we will all grow as the year progresses and every member will make contributions to our success this year. We will face every day as a new challenge and we will accept the challenge to be our very best!” Alice Maloney

First Meet: December 2nd - Tri-Meet (Hannibal/Washington) - 3:30 pm @ Rec-Plex.
