Judy to play Division One!

FZN Senior Kayley Judy signs to play soccer with SIU-E

FZN Senior Kayley Judy recently signed a “Letter of Intent” to play soccer at Southern Illinois – Edwardsville. A soccer “lifer,” Judy has an extensive background in the sport playing select level soccer for a number of years. A two-year starter for North High, she missed the 2020 season due to Covid restrictions, Judy was an “All-Conference” performer for the Panthers as a sophomore in the spring of 2019. During the 2019 season, Judy scored 9 goals with 7 assists from her mid-field position. As a member of the Lou Fusz LFA McKee 02 soccer club, Judy was part of a National Championship team in 2019. A versatile athlete, Judy is also a member of the North High basketball team.

SIU-E competes as a NCAA Division-One-member school playing in the Ohio Valley Conference. In 2019, the Cougars finished the season with a 10 – 5 – 5 overall record. The team narrowly missed advancing to the NCAA Tournament after losing in PK’s in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. A program steeped in tradition, the Cougars have appeared in 7 NCAA tournaments.
