Local Toastmasters Succeed at Area Contest

Every spring, Toastmasters' clubs around the world begin their local Speech Contests, culminating in the final championships in the fall. Ali Jean Wells and Dr. Martin Niboh of the St. Charles County Toastmasters club achieved victory at the Area level contest and will move on to the Division level contest on April 29, 1:00 pm at Grace Church (2695 Creve Coeur Mill Road, Maryland Heights). Ms. Wells is competing in the International Speech Event in which she gives an amazing 5 - 7 minute inspirational speech, while Dr. Niboh performs in the Evaluation Event where he gives a helpful evaluation of a similar speech, encouraging the positives while pointing out areas that could be improved.
Toastmasters International helps people improve their speaking and leadership skills in a positive and encouraging learning environment. The St. Charles County Toastmasters club, which has won the prestigious President's Award the last 3 years, meets at Midwest Bank Center (2299 Technology Drive, O'Fallon) at 7:00 pm every Tuesday night.
