Panther grapplers advance in post-season competition!

The FZN girls wrestling team places 8 individuals at the District meet.

Led by finalists McKenna Dydell (2nd - 235) and Alana Vogt (2nd - 174) the girls wrestling team at North High finished 3rd in the 22 team district wrestling meet held last Saturday at Holt High School. The top 4 wrestlers at each weight class advanced the the Sectional round of competition to be held on February 20th at Versailles High School. The wrestlers that place in the top 3 at Sectionals will advance to State. In addition to Dydell and Vogt, six other Panthers had top four finishes at Districts. Those include: Courtnee Hoff (3rd - 102), Jailyn Ebert (3rd - 107), Kayla Hobday (4th - 113), Caylee Braun (3rd - 143), Carleigh Jones (4th - 159) and Marissa Vaccarro (4th - 195).

At the conclusion of Districts, Hoff (16 - 3), Vogt (21 - 4) and Dydell (18 -6) have posted the top individual season records for the Panthers.

This Saturday (2/13), the boys will host the Class 4 District 3 meet. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am.
