FZN Senior Ryan Pendergast to run track and cross country at SCC

FZN Senor Ryan Pendergast recently signed with St. Charles Community College to run track and cross country for the Cougars. This past fall was the inaugural season for the cross country program at SCC, whereas track will have their first season this spring. Pendergast runs both cross country and track at FZN, specializing in the distance events. He was an “All-Conference” cross country performer for the Panthers in each of the last three seasons, helping the Panthers claim the conference team title in 2017. Pendergast also claimed district medals during his junior and senior cross country seasons, while advancing to the sectional meet in each of those seasons. This spring, Pendergast plans on running in the distance events for the Panther track team.

As mentioned earlier, the cross country and track teams are brand new sports at SCC. Previously the school had only offered softball and baseball in their athletic program. The school is a member of the NJCAAA and currently has no conference affiliation.
