
FZN Senior Grace Rodgers recently committed to play soccer at Webster University. Rodgers has been a member of the varsity soccer team at FZN since her freshmen season. She moved into the starting line-up midway through her freshmen season then started her entire sophomore year, before losing her junior season due to COVID. A versatile player, Rodgers has played as a defender, midfield and forward for the Panthers. Outside of high school, Rodgers has played club soccer for over 8 years. Her most recent club is the Scott Gallagher Soccer Club of which she has been a member for the last 2 years. An excellent student, who carries a 4.5 GPA, Rodgers was placed on the conference “All-Academic” team in each of her two varsity seasons.
Webster, which is located in St. Louis County, is a NCAA D3 member school. In athletics, the Gorloks compete in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The program has won 8 consecutive conference titles and made 6 appearances in the NCAA D3 championships during that time. The program did not play a schedule in the fall of 2020, but does plan on playing in the alternative season this spring.
