FZN Senior Drake Stevenson recently committed to play basketball at Milliken University located in Decatur, Illinois. Stevenson, a two-year starter, was a key member of the Panther squad that won a school record 27 games, while advancing to the state’s “Final Four” for the first time in school history. Stevenson led the team with 228 rebounds, for an average of 7.6 per game. At the conclusion of the season, Stevenson ranked 3rd “All-Time” in rebounds for the Panther basketball program. He also averaged 12.9 points per game while dishing out 2.43 assists per game. For his efforts, Stevenson was placed on the “All-District” 1st team for the second consecutive season. He was also a 2nd team “All-Conference” selection.

Milliken, whose moniker is the “Big Blue,” is a NCAA Division 3 school that competes in athletics as a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. Stevenson mentioned the “Big Blue” coaching staff, as one of the key factors in his decision to attend Milliken. Next season, Milliken will be led by former St. Charles West and Lindenwood stand-out Kramer Soderberg. Stevenson is leaning toward studying business. He is the son of Rick and Carrie Stevenson
