Coping Tips Within the Era of Covid-19

Feeling Out of Control?

Usually, when people or events feel out of control anxiety may begin. Most of us are feeling some level of anxiety over the Covid-19 pandemic. I would like to share a few tips to help manage anxiety. First, instead of focusing on what is out of your control(Covid-19) force yourself to focus on what is within your control. Learn the facts and how to keep yourself and family safe. Second, limit unhelpful news. It may be tempting to learn more about what is transpiring. However, limiting media exposure can greatly aid in limiting fears. Third, remain as connected with others as possible. This will lessen feelings of isolation.

Our defensive mode of living will not last forever. Lets focus on one day at a time while living in the present.
