Springfield Police Investigate Woman's Death
62-year-old Katherine Lear was found deceased inside her home on East Walnut.

On Sept. 29, 2020, at 10:37 a.m., the Springfield Police Department was dispatched to 2036 E. Walnut to check the well-being of a female. Officers entered the home and located a deceased female inside. Evidence found in the home warranted further investigation and detectives responded to process the scene for evidence.
The deceased person has been identified as Katherine Lear, a 62-year-old female from Springfield, MO. Next of kin notifications have been made.

Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
