Are St. Charles Tax Payers Paying Twice For Ambulance Service?
St. Charles is served by two ambulance services and citizens are paying for both of them.

ST. CHARLES, MO — Taxpayers in St. Charles may be on the hook for more than one ambulance service tax, Fox 2 St. Louis reports. The city has its own Emergency Medical Services, but is also served by the countywide ambulance district, and taxpayers fund both with separate taxes. Missouri State Senator Bill Eigel has filed a bill to put the issue to voters, but Fox 2 says the legislation has been tabled pending a compromise between city and council officials.
