Hannity, Limbaugh Make Appearances As Trump Stumps For Hawley
President Trump is making his last pitch to Missouri voters Monday night. Two right-wing pundits will be there too.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO — President Donald Trump is making his final plea to Missouri voters not to send Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill back to Washington, and two controversial right-wing media personalities are joining him. Fox News host Sean Hannity and conservative talk news pundit Rush Limbaugh will appear with the president at a rally in Cape Girardeau tonight in support of Senate candidate and Republican Attorney General Josh Hawley.

Hannity, reportedly, will host his show from the rally. Though billed as a "special guest" in a campaign email, Hannity quickly Tweeted a clarification Monday morning saying he would not be campaigning with the president, only covering his rally. A Fox News spokesperson emailed Patch almost immediately to highlight the clarification.

In spite of reports, I will be doing a live show from Cape Girardeau and interviewing President Trump before the rally. To be clear, I will not be on stage campaigning with the President. I am covering final rally for my show. Something I have done in every election in the past.

While McCaskill has tried to bill herself as a moderate, much to the consternation of some Missouri liberals, Hawley has embraced the president, whose approval rating is 10 points higher in the state than nationally, according to FiveThirtyEight.
Trump also stumped for Halwey last week in Columbia, Missouri, in an attempt to shore up support for his candidate, who is trailing in most polls — but just barely.

NBC News calls the race a "margin-of-error contest." If McCaskill wants to hang onto her seat, she will need to rack up large margins in St. Louis and Kansas City while also keeping Hawley's margins down in the state's wide, rural heartland.
