O'Fallon Resident Surprised with Scholarship to WGU Missouri

O'Fallon resident Christopher Sturgess was recently surprised with a $2,500 WGU Missouri Loves Teachers Scholarship. In honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week, this scholarship is awarded to prospective teachers who want to earn their teacher certification and current educators ready to advance their careers.
Sturgess (right), a paraprofessional in the Fort Zumwalt School District, was presented with the scholarship by Hawthorn Elementary Principal Marc Schultz (left). Sturgess is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from WGU Missouri.
