Recliners Coming to St. Charles 18 Cine

St. Charles 18 Cine's new Five Star Lounge will offer heated leather recliners, gourmet snacks and food, and a wait staff for movie goers. The lounge debuts at the theater on Friday.

Love movies? You might love them more beginning Friday.

That's because Wehrenberg Theatres is opening up another of its Five Star Lounges—this time at St. Charles 18 Cine.

The lounge will offer movie-goers heated leather recliners, cocktails, gourmet snacks and food, and even a wait staff. Food selection will include such dishes as spinache and artichoke Rangoon, loaded baked potato chips and chicken quesadillas along with bacon cheeseburgers, bioled salmon wraps and lobster nachos, a Wehrenberg release said.

Even the regular movie experience is getting better as the movie company, which has been screening flicks for more than 100 years in St. Louis, is upgrading its regular theaters.

A full-service bar, the "Five Star Lobby Bar" is also planned with the upgrade.

“Guests love Five Star Lounge,” said Ronald P. Krueger, president of Wehrenberg Theatres, in the release. “We have requests to add it to most theatres, especially St. Charles. We knew the theatre was primed for a remodel, so the timing was perfect to add our most popular feature.”

Now, Wehrenberg operates several Five Star Lounges in the St. Louis-area, including lounges at Chesterfield and Des Peres.
