Six Hospitalized In Saint Charles County After Hit-And-Run Crash

WEST ALTON, MO — A hit-and-run crash left six people hospitalized early Thursday morning in St. Charles County, KMOV News 4 reports.

Police say the youngest person injured was 14, while the oldest was 43. All were riding in an F150 pickup truck that was towing a camper south along U.S. Highway 67 near Missouri Route 94 — just a mile or so south of the Missouri-Illinois state line — when their vehicle was struck and run off the road by another truck just after 3 a.m.

Police say one person suffered serious injuries.

Officials say the driver of a maroon truck that caused the accident fled before police could arrive. No other details were released.
