The annual Festival of the Little Hills is the biggest event happening around St. Charles this weekend. (See the full schedule of events here). But if you're looking for something different to do, here are five other options:

McLovin performs at Bottleneck Blues Bar at Ameristar in St. Charles on Friday. $5 cover. Must be 21 and older. See more here.

Head to Pere Marquette on Friday night for mystery dinner theater, “Muuurder in Maaaay-bury!” Tickets are $45 each and include dinner. Learn more here. 

Pets A-Lone Sanctuary will host an adoption day at Petsmart in St. Charles on Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. See more here.

Larry Gerst and Acoustic Edge perform live at Padavan's NY on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 8 p.m. See more here.

The Missouri Ballet Theater will hold auditions for youth roles in the Nutcracker ballet on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre. Learn more here.
