Two Women Carjacked In St. Charles County Tuesday: Police

ST. CHARLES, MO — Police in St. Charles County say two women were carjacked in their Range Rover SVR (pictured) early Tuesday morning. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. in River Bend Estates west of Page Avenue.

Police said the women were tailed home by a silver passenger vehicle. Once the driver pulled into her garage, the car following them pulled into a neighbor's driveway. Two men with guns got out of the car and demanded credit cards, cash and the keys to the SUV. No one was injured.

Four people were also carjacked in separate incidents in St. Louis over the weekend. Authorities say to be aware of your surroundings and to always park in well-lit areas, especially after midnight. Keep your doors locked while driving. During a carjacking, do not resist. Let the thief have your car and focus on being a good witness, authorities say. Try to remember what he or she was wearing and as many physical details as possible. Observe the direction in which they drive away, and call 9-1-1 as soon as possible.
