$15 Million Ranch Is Missouri's Most Expensive Home For Sale
The 1,075 acre ranch is for sale in Brumley, Missouri, where the median home value is just $119,000.
BRUMLEY, MO — Missouri’s most expensive home for sale is a six-bedroom mansion in Brumley, where the median household income is just $40,000 a year and almost a fifth of the population lives below the poverty line, according to data from the U.S. Census and the Economic Innovation Group. It comes with a thousand-acre ranch, and while it costs a chunk of change — far more than most Brumley residents will see in a lifetime — that's pennies compared to the nine-figure properties in some of America’s hottest real estate markets.
Nestled amid the 1,075 acres of Horse Power Ranch, the home is on sale for a cool $15 million (126 times more than the county's median home value of $119,000) and ranks as the 32nd most expensive home for sale in the country, according to PropertyShark. The real estate website analyzed active listings across the U.S. to identify the most expensive home for sale in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
According to PropertyShark, the homes range between $3.5 million to $500 million. The $500 million home is a Los Angeles property called “The One.” The home has “20 bedrooms, four swimming pools, an in-home theater, four-lane bowling alley, a private nightclub complete with VIP room, 30-car garage, actual moats and even jellyfish aquariums as ceilings,” PropertyShark writes.
