MO Thanksgiving Store Closures 2018: Costco, Nordstrom And More

ST. LOUIS, MO — The biggest shopping occasion of the year is almost here. But if you plan to hit the stores soon after you’ve recovered from your Thanksgiving food coma, know that many retailers in Missouri plan to stay closed on Turkey Day.

A list compiled by BestBlackFriday.com tallying the stores closed on Thanksgiving has been updated since it was first published in October. The website has found that a total of 76 retailers will be closed on November 22.

BestBlackFriday.com says it confirmed each store’s closed status with a representative or PR contact. The list also includes big-name grocery stores, like Costco, Publix and Trader Joe’s, that will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Don't worry if you forgot the gravy, though. Here are some local grocery stores that will be open at least a few hours on Thursday. Of course, if you feel like going out for Thanksgiving dinner, you have options there too.

The common theme BestBlackFriday.com found was that most retailers staying closed on Thanksgiving were doing so to allow employees to spend time with their families.
