Mobile Health Van To Offer Free Screenings At STL Metro Stations
Operated by Betty Jean Kerr People's Health Centers, the van will alternate between Metro stations on Tuesdays and Fridays through October.

ST. LOUIS, MO — A mobile health van will offer free medical screenings at Metro stations around St. Louis on Tuesdays and Fridays, starting May 7 and continuing through October 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Find a list of dates and locations below.
Operated by Betty Jean Kerr People's Health Centers, a nonprofit health care and social services provider, the mobile clinic will alternate between several Metro stations on a weekly basis throughout the coming months. Anyone 18 and older can stop by for a free screening, as well as for help obtaining health insurance and referrals to other community health clinics for longterm care.
This is the second year the program has been offered through a partnership between PHC, Bi-State Development, Metro Transit, and the St. Louis Health Department.

According to the group's website, People's Health Centers was founded in 1972 to serve impoverished and uninsured communities in St. Louis and St. Louis County. PHC currently operates three local clinics where it offers primary care, pediatrics, OB/GYN, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, laboratory and other services. It receives a variety of local, state and federal funding.
