Museum Day: Free Admission At These St. Louis Museums Saturday
Snag a free ticket to visit one of these local museums on Saturday. Here's how.

ST. LOUIS, MO — If you’re looking for something fun and free to do this weekend, consider a trip to one of St. Louis' excellent museums. Saturday, September 22, is “Museum Day,” and admission is free to more than 1,500 museums across the country, including seven in St. Louis.
Of course, many St. Louis museums are free everyday. The Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Science Center, Missouri History Museum, Saint Louis University's Museum of Contemporary Religious Art and others are publicly-funded, and most exhibits are completely free. Others, like the Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion, Sappington House Museum, or the National Museum of Transportation are privately owned and will ordinarily cost you — but not this weekend.
“Museum Day” is an annual event put together by the Smithsonian Magazine and includes participating museums in all 50 states. According to the Smithsonian, participants can download one ticket per email address that provides free general admission for two people.
