Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For St. Louis
A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 6:45 p.m. Tornado warnings have been issued for parts of Illinois.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Yes, those are the weather sirens you hear. The National Weather Service in St. Louis has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the city of St. Louis until 6:45 p.m. Expect hail, lightning and damaging winds.
Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud near St. Louis at 5:42 p.m., but the National Weather Service's tornado warning has since been canceled. A new tornado warning has been issued for Belleville, East St. Louis and Fairview Heights, Illinois, until 6:30 p.m. If you are in those areas, seek shelter immediately.
There are reports of power outages in Olivette and University City near interstate 170.

Locations in the path of the storm include: St. Louis, Chesterfield, Belleville, University City, Ballwin, Granite City, O`Fallon, Kirkwood, Maryland Heights, East St. Louis, Collinsville, Edwardsville, Webster Groves, Ferguson, Arnold, Manchester, Creve Coeur, Fairview Heights, Overland and Clayton.
