“We have a solution to balance the city’s budget, but President Reed has chosen to break from the city’s Charter to obstruct the passage of that plan in order to play political games. The people of St. Louis deserve so much better. We urge President Reed and the Ways and Means Committee to take decisive action to follow the city’s established process: send the budget back to the Board of Estimate and Apportionment, protect our credit rating, and ensure the City of St. Louis has a balanced budget this year.”
