St. Louis Named 15th 'Best Place' For Oktoberfest Celebrations
WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities across 24 key metrics to rank 2018's Best Places for Oktoberfest Celebrations report.

ST. LOUIS, MO — More than 200 years since it's start, the annual Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany is set to kick off in less than two weeks, running through the beginning of October. According to WalletHub, more than six million partiers flock to Munich to celebrate and drink plenty of beer for a couple weeks during the celebration. However, WalletHub reported only about 2 percent of that crowd hails from the U.S., as the average trip costs roughly $5,000 for the average American. Luckily, you can save some money this year and stay local for Oktoberfest celebrations as St. Louis made WalletHub's report of 2018's Best Places for Oktoberfest Celebrations. The city was ranked 15th for the "Best Places" in the U.S.
To determine the best cities for local celebrations as part of the epic German festival, WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities across 24 key metrics, ranging from share of German population to number of beer gardens per capita to average price for an Oktoberfest celebration ticket.
