Students Stage Pro-Gun Walkouts At Two Missouri High Schools

Students at two high schools in Missouri planned to walk out of class at 10 a.m. this morning over guns. Unlike past walkouts, however, these students are demonstrating in support of gun rights and the Second Amendment. The event was organized by Will Riley, a high school senior from Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The event is being organized by Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund, and according to their website, students at hundreds of high schools across the country have RSVP'd to participate.

  • Ritenour High School in St. Louis
  • Fox Senior High School in Arnold

"There is a lot of talk recently about the need to create new laws that would restrict access to firearms in order to make our schools safer," the group said on its website. "But not a lot of attention has been given to those of us who want to protect our natural rights that are enshrined in the constitution. That's what Stand for the Second is all about."
