The carnival kicks off Friday night with a "Snowball" at the Moonrise Hotel.

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO — The thirteenth annual Ice Carnival is scheduled for this weekend in University City's Delmar Loop. The event will kick off Friday evening with a "Snowball" at the Moonrise Hotel. The ball will feature arctic-inspired cocktails, a live DJ, ice carvings and more. On Saturday and Sunday, events will be held throughout The Loop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kids can try out an ice slide, zip line, skateboard demonstrations, trampoline, or inflatable obstacle course while parents check out ice carving demonstrations, watch fire performers or play through the Putt Putt Pub Crawl. $1,000 worth of $1 coins will also be hidden in ice cubes throughout the Loop for carnival-goers to find. Another 9,000 cubes will contain chocolate coins.
