Winter Storm Warning Issued For St. Louis Area
Expect heavy snow, with up to 9 inches by Saturday night, officials say. Travel could be difficult or impossible.

ST. LOUIS, MO — The National Weather Service in St. Louis has issued a winter storm warning for the city from noon on Friday through Midnight Saturday night. Officials say to expect heavy snow, with accumulations of 6 to 9 inches in most areas. The storm could begin as sleet or a wintry mix sometime after noon.
Officials warn that travel could be difficult or impossible, especially for the evening commute. If you have to travel, make sure you have a full tank of gas and a winter road kit, including shovel, flashlight, cell phone, food, water, blankets and extra warm clothing.
Drivers can also use weather.gov's travel tool to preview weather along their route at preview.weather.gov/edd.
