Youth Pastor Charged With Child Molestation

Police say he fondled and engaged in oral sex with a minor. He is out on bail.

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO — Andrew Dickson, a 30-year-old youth pastor, has been charged with child molestation and statutory sodomy, the Post-Dispatch reports. He was arraigned April 9.

Charging documents allege Dickson fondled and engaged in oral sex with a minor at his home in University City between March and April of this year. He was a youth pastor at Central Presbyterian Church in Clayton. A spokesperson for the church said they alerted authorities upon learning of the allegations and terminated Dickson.

Dickson was released last week after a judge cut his bond in half, from $150,000 to $75,000. The Post-Dispatch reports that he has been allowed to return home to Washington state and is barred from contacting his accuser.
