Adam Khair took over the donut shop formerly known as Caddyshack Donuts at 6220 Mexico Road. The restaurant will serve donuts and Middle Eastern lunches.
A new cafe serving donuts and Middle Eastern lunches has opened on Mexico Road in the former Caddyshack Donuts location at 6220 Mexico Road.
Adam Khair opened Adam's Cafe about three weeks ago and is currently serving donuts and breakfast to the regulars who used to stop in to Caddyshack Donuts. He's still ordering permanent signs and is awaiting a soda fountain before he's able to offer a lunch menu.
Khair, who said he's wanted to cook his whole life, plans to expand the menu to include flavors from his home of Jerusalem.

For now, breakfast items include egg, cheese, bacon and ham sandwiches, a BLT, a southwest veggie burrito, and biscuits and gravy along with a range of donuts.
Signs all over the shop urge customers to ask about the bacon donut: a slice of fresh bacon laid atop the customer's choice of long john. The recommended combo is one with maple syrup icing.
