Clemons is the first para-athlete state champion in Francis Howell history. She also won a state title two years ago. “These individuals are not only amazing student-athletes, but also great and humble young people who were excellent representatives and role models for others during their time at Howell High,” said Sean Erwin, FHHS activities director. FHHS Boys Track Team pulled off a one-two-finish in javelin throwing at the state meet, with teammate Bryce Kazmaier placing second. Overall, the boys finished second as a team with 49.5 points, just below Columbia Rock Bridge with 52 points. This was the school’s first-ever top four finish in the state. The girls team also had an impressive overall state showing, and took home the following medals: Brooke Clemons, prior to receiving her Board Recognition at the June meeting.
