
Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County Block Party and Friendraiser Live entertainment, children activities and an opportunity to learn about Habitat for Humanity! St. Charles County, June 10, 2013— Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County announces its Block Party and Friendraiser event on Saturday, June 15th, 2013 from 10:00-2:00 at our Enclaves at Eisenhower subdivision in St. Peters, Missouri. Confirmed entertainment for the afternoon include live music from 4 the Gospel and Circle of Friends. Laclede Gas will be at the event in their food truck providing hot dogs for our guests. Quintessential Catering in O’Fallon will also be there with nachos and cupcakes. There will be plenty of entertainment for children as well including an inflatable bounce house, face painting and games. In addition to the food and entertainment, Habitat staff and volunteers will be at the block party providing numerous opportunities that are available to volunteer with the organization as well as a chance to see our construction groups at work and the empty lots still in progress to complete this 20 home subdivision. There will be chances to make contributions to the organization as well and all proceeds from the afternoon help support the building of simple, decent, affordable housing for deserving families in St. Charles County. About Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County Since 1996, Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County has partnered with churches, businesses, foundations and individuals to provide 60 hard-working, low-income St. Charles County families with the opportunity to build, buy and own their own home. Home construction and neighborhood development costs are funded through tax-deductible financial and in-kind contributions from local businesses, churches, foundations, civic organizations and individuals. These contributions, along with the labor of sponsor employees, members or other volunteers, as well as the future homeowner, enable Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County to build and sell homes to families selected to partner with Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County.
