Police Investigating Home Invasion That left Two Shot

A home-invasion over the weekend left two victims with gunshot wounds. They are expected to recover.

ST. PETERS, MO — A man with a gun and a shirt over his face forced his way into a St. Peters home on St. Daphne Drive Sunday night. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots, and said the suspect fled in a red car. Fox 2 reports one witness's account:

They had their shirt over their face like this. They had a gun. They told everybody not to move and to get on the ground. Everybody got on the ground. He came over and held the gun to my friend's head. He kept saying, 'you think this is joke? Do you think this is a game?'

A man in his 20s was shot in the chest and his mother was shot in the wrist. Police said the suspect may have come to the house for a drug transaction. Whether the shooter got the wrong house or the drug deal went bad, they didn't say.
