St. Peters Police Arrest Seven for Drunk Driving During Crackdown

Crackdown on drunk driving was part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.

St. Peters Police arrested seven drunk drivers during a national crackdown between Aug. 16 and Sept. 2, according to a press release from the city. 

“I am proud of our officers for their hard work and dedication to making our region’s roadways safer,” Police Chief Jeff Finkelstein said. 

During the 2012 Labor Day weekend in Missouri, three people were killed in motor vehicle traffic crashes involving impaired drivers or motorcycle riders.

St. Peters Police Department joined forces with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and nearly 10,000 law enforcement agencies across the country for the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
