St. Peters Ranks High for Used Car Affordability

According to Autolist, the St. Peters area is one of the best places to buy used cars in the country. Missouri ranks 29 of 50 states.

ST. PETERS, MO — If you're in the market for a used car this holiday season, you might want to head to the St. Louis area. Autolist.com released study this week ranking the best prices around the state and across the country. Missouri ranked 29 out of 50 states for used-car affordability, but several cities were well below the state average.

Those include St. Louis — $464 below the Missouri average; Chesterfield —$447 below the Missouri average; St. Peters — $362 below the Missouri average; Florissant — $353 below the Missouri average; and St. Charles — $342 below the Missouri average.

The study analyzed over 83 million vehicle sales across the country. In the St. Louis-St. Charles area, Autolist found the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 the most affordable vehicle to purchase, with prices $1,300 below the statewide average. The Chevrolet Tahoe came in number two, followed by the Ford F-350 Super Duty, Ford F-150, and GMC Yukon XL.

Statewide the most affordable vehicles were the Volvo S60, Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD, Volvo XC60, Audi A4, and Ram Pickup 2500.
